Chromatic traps are used in horticulture to capture insects and pests in your crops. Studies have shown that certain insects are attracted to certain colors. For example a dangerous pest for tomato plants is the aleyrodidae (white fly). These flies are attracted to the color yellow, so in order to reduce the amount of inorganic chemicals used in a crop for pest control, chromatic tramps are placed around the field.

Yellow sticky traps used for monitoring & mass trapping of soft body insects like aphid and white fly.
