Hybrid seeds are mostly non-Genetically Modified seeds. These seeds are created by crossing two different parents from the same family in order to make a better or improved seed. These improved seeds are either resistant to certain diseases, pests, bacterias, fungi, nematodes, extreme climates like drought or even viruses. In the field of agriculture its best if a farmer works with hybrid seeds since the production yield increases and gives the plants a higher resistance. While on the other hand, if heirloom seeds are used, the cost for growing the crop will be higher due to its low resistance and the production yield is very low.
